I began my working life as a teacher and I have taught across all key stages as well as adult learners. Over the last 10 years I have been teaching counselling and psychotherapy and currently work for the Open University.. Throughout my life I have had an interest in what makes us who we are and what promotes or limits our self development.
I became interested in yoga, meditation, shiatsu, massage and psychotherapy and it was through my Chiron training in Integrative Body Psychotherapy that I found a way to bring these aspects of myself together.
I have worked in private practice for 18 years and I have managed a school counselling service in the West of London. One area that I have become interested in is elective and non-elective childlessness and I have jrecently been awarded a PhD by the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies at Essex University. I also lead workshops on 'To Be or Not To Be – A Parent'.. I continue with my professional development by attending conferences and seminar and I am interested in meditation and mindfulness. One of my interests is travelling to other countries and walking in the beautiful UK countryside.
